We are delighted to share some of our favourite photos from Helen and James’ incredible Mansfield Traquair wedding.
Located on the eastern edge of Edinburgh’s New Town, Mansfield Traquair has been referred to as the city’s Sistine Chapel.
Mansfield Traquair is one of Edinburgh’s most extraordinary, awe-inspiring wedding venues, with handpainted murals and exquisite architecture.

Mansfield Traquair wedding photos
Bridal preparations
Our wedding photography coverage started with the bridal preparations of beautiful Helen at Helen’s parents’ home on Edinburgh’s Southside.
In charge of styling Helen and her bridesmaids were Simon Hill and Mikey Becman.
The room had a lovely, relaxed atmosphere as we captured candid photos of everyone getting ready.
Ceremony at Mansfield Traquair
After preps coverage was completed, it was time to make the short journey across the city centre to Mansfield Traquair for the wedding ceremony.
Groom James and his best men were in high spirits and looking great in navy kilt outfits from McCalls Highlandwear as they welcomed guests.
We loved the classic car Helen arrived in. A beautiful silver Rolls Royce was the perfect transportation for our gorgeous bride.
Dressed in couture Suzanne Neville, Helen looked breathtakingly beautiful as she walked arm in arm with her proud Dad down the aisle.
Helen and James were married in a religious ceremony conducted by Minister Derek Lamont.
Celebration
Guests congratulated the newlyweds and enjoyed a wonderful drinks reception. It was fantastic to see everybody mingling and having a fabulous time.
Helen and James were a dream to photograph as we captured their newlywed photoshoot at Mansfield Traquair.
An evening of pure celebration followed, with great speeches, love, laughter, and delicious food.
After cutting their cake, Helen and James shared their romantic first dance, and all their guests watched as they glided across the dancefloor.
Canongate Cadjers ceilidh band provided the evening entertainment, which went down a storm! We always love capturing the fun of a good old Scottish ceilidh.
