A Brief History Of Neidpath Castle

Neidpath Castle, perched above the River Tweed near Peebles, is steeped in centuries of history and offers a magical wedding setting.

Built in the 14th century by the Fraser family, this majestic stone fortress has seen its fair share of Scottish history, from noble gatherings to moments of romance and intrigue.

Later, it was owned by the powerful Hay family and became a hub of activity during the turbulent years of the Scottish Wars of Independence and Jacobite uprisings.

Our day as Neidpath Castle photographer began with groom Merle, who looked incredible in a kilt outfit and tartan plaid, embracing the Scottish tradition.

Genuinely one of the nicest guys, we had a great time catching shots of Merle with his closest gathering of family and friends outside the castle.

Standing at the altar, excitement and anticipation mingle with a flood of emotions as Merle sees Megan for the first time.

His heart swells with overwhelming love and admiration.

Megan is a vision of beauty as she walks down the aisle with her proud father.

This beautifully intimate ceremony celebrated their love, dreams, and promise of a fantastic future together. It was such a joyful occasion and a delight to photograph.

After warm embraces of congratulations, we took the happy couple on their newlywed photoshoot, capturing the fresh, radiant joy of these beautiful souls, their smiles broad and eyes sparkling with happiness.
