Kinkell Byre wedding photos
Here are a few of my favourite Kinkell Byre wedding photos.
Coverage of this wonderful day began with photographing the bridal party preparations a few miles away at Morton Of Pitmilly.
Morton Of Pitmilly is a great collection of self-catering holiday homes.
Spacious, with quality fixtures and fittings and tastefully decorated throughout, this was a great place for Sarah and the girls to spend the morning being pampered and getting ready for the day.
Kinkell Byre
Being a photographer shooting Kinkell Byre wedding photos near St Andrews is an absolute joy.
This unique, rustic venue offers endless opportunities to capture unforgettable moments. From the moment you step onto the grounds, you’re greeted by the breathtaking charm of the Scottish countryside, with panoramic views of rolling hills and the North Sea—a dream backdrop for any couple’s big day.
The magic of Kinkell Byre lies in its versatility.
The venue’s rustic barn, with its exposed stone walls, wooden beams, and twinkling fairy lights, creates a warm, intimate atmosphere that’s a photographer’s paradise.
Every detail, from the characterful textures of the Byre to the cosy nooks and crannies, provides endless creative inspiration.
Add personal touches like floral arches, festoon lighting, or a bohemian lounge area; you’ve got a canvas that changes with every wedding.
Summer weddings at Kinkell Byre are particularly enchanting.
The golden-hour light flooding through the open barn doors or across the sprawling fields is simply magical.
Outdoor ceremonies overlooking the coastline make for stunning wide-angle shots, while candid moments of laughter during lawn games or sunset strolls are picture-perfect.
The relaxed vibe of Kinkell Byre means couples and guests feel at ease, allowing natural, joyous moments to unfold.
Capturing the raw emotions, from tearful vows to epic dance floor moves, is pure fun and incredibly rewarding.
For any photographer, Kinkell Byre is more than just a venue—it’s a stage where love stories come alive, framed by the natural beauty of Scotland and the unique energy of each celebration.
It’s a place where creativity thrives, and every wedding is as unique and beautiful as the couple themselves.
I can’t think of another wedding where a bride and groom had put so much effort into personalising the day.
Colin and Sarah hand-picked every detail of the day, from table decorations to the sofas on which guests could relax.
Kinkell Byre wedding venue was originally built in the 1700s as a home for cows reared at Kinkell farm.
The spacious venue offers fantastic views across St Andrews Bay and the North Sea.
Sarah and Colin’s wedding ceremony was a joy to photograph.
I loved hearing how they met and fell in love with one another.
They couldn’t stop smiling as they were announced as the new Mr and Mrs!
The weather could not have been better.
Glorious sunshine meant we could take full advantage of the spacious grounds for the family group and newlywed photos.
I loved the speeches, with lots of laughter at some of the stories told by the Best Man.
Colin and Sarah are suited to each other, and everyone present raises a toast to the newlyweds.
My coverage of this fantastic day drew to a close as Colin and Sarah did their first dance as newlyweds, with one of their friends singing their first dance song.
It was one of my favourite weddings of the year with a beautiful couple.
Congratulations to Colin and Sarah, shooting your Kinkell Byre wedding photos was magical!
Seeing your photos printed in your fantastic wedding albums will be great.
