Being Iain and Louise’s Royal Scots Club Edinburgh wedding photographer was fun.

Coverage of this beautiful wedding day began with the groom and guests’ arrival at the impressive St. Cuthbert’s RC Church on Slateford Road in Edinburgh.

The interior of this church is beautiful, with lots of natural light, just perfect for photos.

Jonathon did a fantastic job with our photos and video. He captured the day perfectly! We got a video of the ceremony, speeches and first 3 dances which Jonathon was able to do himself with cameras set up and it was amazing to see after. I highly recommend Love Wedding Photos and Film and will use them in the future for any photographer needs I have.

Jonathon recently photographed our wedding and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our families were also extremely pleased and have been creating montages and framing the photos. Jonathon put us at ease and was professional and friendly and created lots of shots in such a short space of time. The communication before hand and after was great especially as there was last minute changes to our wedding. I would definitely recommend. Many thanks.

Iain and Louise arrived in a lovely old Volkswagen Camper Van at the church.

There was no sign of nerves from either Iain or Louise.

From our previous meeting at our pre-wedding day photoshoot in Queen Street Gardens, I felt they would be relaxed and just a wee bit excited.

Church ceremonies can sometimes be a bit formal. However, the Priest conducting today’s ceremony was a real character, bringing warmth and humour to the proceedings.

One highlight of the wedding ceremony was the fantastic choir that sang during the hymns and the signing of the marriage schedule.

After the wedding ceremony and a few minutes of congratulations from family and friends, the newlyweds departed for their wedding reception at The Royal Scots Club.

This beautiful venue is located in Edinburgh’s historic New Town.

It is created by merging magnificent old townhouses to create a gorgeous and spacious building to hold a wedding reception.

A big bonus of booking The Royal Scots Club Edinburgh wedding venue is that you can access the beautiful Queen Street Gardens directly opposite.

This oasis in the heart of the bustling city is a photographer’s dream.

With lots of green space, it’s the perfect location for group and newlywed photos.

Shooting Royal Scots Club Edinburgh wedding photos is pure joy.

Nestled in the heart of the city’s New Town, this venue blends timeless elegance with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, making it an absolute dream for capturing unforgettable moments.

The Georgian architecture, with its grand staircase, high ceilings, and ornate details, creates an opulent yet intimate backdrop that adds a touch of magic to every shot.

What makes this venue so unique is its versatility. From the romantic wood-panelled Hepburn Suite to the light-filled Library, every corner offers unique photo opportunities.

The picturesque Queen Street Gardens nearby add a layer of charm, providing a peaceful outdoor space perfect for dreamy couple portraits, especially when the sun is shining.

As a photographer, I find shooting Royal Scots Club Edinburgh wedding photos offers a playground of possibilities.

The natural light streaming through the large windows is a gift for capturing those candid, emotional moments.

Guests’ laughter and joy resonate in the elegant surroundings, making documenting the day’s happiness easy.

Whether the couple shares a quiet moment in the lounge or the lively reception energy, every frame tells a story.

The club’s combination of historic charm and personal touches from each couple ensures no two weddings feel the same, keeping the creativity flowing.

It’s a venue that radiates warmth, love, and history, and it’s a privilege to preserve those memories for couples to cherish forever.

Iain and Louise looked deliriously happy while I photographed them in the gardens.

They were great in front of the camera and a pleasure to photograph.

The remainder of the day was spent back at The Royal Scots Club.

I loved the speeches. Plenty of laughter and heartfelt thanks.

I enjoy photographing people’s emotions and reactions at a wedding.

The newlyweds cut their wedding cake in the evening before taking to the dance floor for their first dance.

It is a brilliant end to a beautiful wedding day, creating these gorgeous photos as the Royal Scots Club Edinburgh wedding photographer.
