At Lauren and Wayne’s engagement photoshoot at Inverleith Park, I was excited to be taking photos of such a gorgeous couple in one of my favourite parks in Edinburgh.
Inverleith Park, in Edinburgh, Scotland, offers serene greenery and recreational spaces over 22 hectares.
Its lush landscape, botanical delights, and panoramic views of Edinburgh Castle charm visitors.
The park hosts events, sports, and leisure activities while inviting strolls along its paths and flourishing gardens.

I’m pleased to share some of my favourite Inverleith Park engagement photos in the gallery below.

Shooting photos at an engagement session is pure joy.
It’s a chance to connect with the couple, capture their unique chemistry, and tell their love story in a relaxed, intimate setting.
Unlike the fast-paced nature of a wedding day, engagement shoots allow for creative freedom and plenty of time to experiment with different angles, poses, and lighting.
There’s something magical about documenting those candid moments—an affectionate glance, a burst of laughter, or a quiet embrace—that showcase their bond.
It’s not just about taking photos; it’s about creating memories and celebrating their journey together.
Imagine pairing that joy with a venue as picturesque as Inverleith Park.
Situated in the heart of Edinburgh, this gem offers an enchanting backdrop for an engagement photoshoot.
With its sweeping views of the city skyline, including Edinburgh Castle and the majestic Arthur’s Seat, Inverleith Park provides a perfect mix of natural beauty and iconic landmarks.
The open green spaces, serene pond, and tree-lined pathways create endless opportunities for stunning compositions, whether the couple wants romantic, playful, or timeless shots.
Inverleith Park’s versatility is what makes it so magical.
During golden hour, the warm, glowing light transforms the park into a dreamlike setting, perfect for soft, cinematic photos.
In spring and summer, blooming flowers add colour, while autumn’s fiery foliage brings depth and drama to every shot.
Even in winter, the park’s tranquil atmosphere and frosty charm make it a cosy, romantic escape.
For couples who love the outdoors and want a mix of urban and natural beauty in their engagement or wedding photos, Inverleith Park is a photographer’s paradise.
It’s a place where love and landscape come together to create images they’ll treasure forever.
This photo session was the couple’s opportunity to meet me and have a varied collection of photos taken before their wedding day arrived.
Not all couples have experienced working with an engagement photoshoot photographer, and it’s a great way to break the ice and get acquainted with the couple before their wedding day.
Our photo session took place in Inverleith Park on the windiest evening of the year!
Lauren and Wayne brought their pet dog along for a few ‘family’ photos at the start of our shoot.
What a well-behaved dog! We got a few great ‘family’ photos.
The rest of the engagement photoshoot was ‘Mum and Dad’ around Inverleith Park!
Although it was unbelievably windy, the sun was shining, and we got a great view across the city of Edinburgh.
Lauren and Wayne looked great together as they walked hand-in-hand along one of Inverleith Park’s tree-lined avenues.
I loved the wide-angled photos of Lauren and Wayne with Edinburgh Castle in the background.
We then walked down the hill to Invelieth Pond, where our lovely couple crossed the jetty. I can imagine how great they will look on their wedding day.
Lauren and Wayne are a lovely couple to photograph. They are relaxed and look so happy together.
