From the very moment we arrived at the estate and began assessing the morning light, we knew Nikki and Ryan’s wedding was going to be a profoundly special one.

The atmosphere was charged with a palpable joy and a relaxed, welcoming energy that perfectly mirrored the couple’s personalities and the idyllic setting they had chosen for their celebration.

A definitive highlight of the day, both emotionally and visually, was the chosen ceremony space. Nikki and Ryan selected the 250-year-old Roundhouse, which stands as one of the most atmospheric and intimate rooms we have ever had the privilege of photographing.

Originally utilised as a treadmill and designed echoing the ancient Scottish Broch style, its circular layout and exposed, rugged stone walls create a deeply cosy sanctuary.

The unique, directional lighting within this space, combined with the profound history resonating from the stonework, yields an atmosphere of romantic seclusion.

The marriage ceremony itself was a deeply personal Humanist service, beautifully led by the fantastic celebrant Tim Maguire. Tim has a real, undeniable knack for telling a couple’s story in a manner that feels entirely authentic, warm, and inherently funny.
