Jon and Mandy’s beautiful Surgeons’ Hall wedding photos. Jon and Mandy were married at the historic Surgeons’ Hall, a fabulous wedding venue steeped in history and located in Edinburgh city centre.
Surgeons’ Hall is a beautiful venue which I’ve been fortunate enough to previously photograph weddings. It’s a great wedding venue with impressive architecture and offers total privacy for your wedding day. No matter what the weather does on your wedding day, Surgeons’ Hall offers a wonderful range of backdrops for your wedding photos.
Founded in 1505, Surgeon’s Hall (also known by its official name, Royal College Of Surgeons Edinburgh) contains a museum exhibiting some rather interesting exhibits, including various surgical instruments, human tissue examples (including skulls!), and is home to one of the largest and most historic collections of surgical pathology in the world. I’ve visited the museum with my family and it’s a fascinating place.
Comprehensive coverage of Mandy and Jon’s wedding day meant an early start photographing the latter stage of the bridal party preparations before heading across to the wedding venue. Great to see one of my favourite pipers, Jim Nicholl, awaiting guests and piping as they made their way into Surgeon’s Hall.
Groom Jon looked very dapper in his kilt and was in good humour as he greeted guests. Jon and Mandy were married in a wonderful Humanist ceremony, officiated by Juliet Wilson.
Signing the marriage schedule meant our newly-weds marriage was official, with family and friends cheering as our couple celebrated with a kiss!
Congratulations to Jon and Mandy, their wedding day was wonderful, with many moments I’ll always fondly look back on.
