I was delighted to be invited to create Jon and Mandy’s Surgeons’ Hall wedding photos.
They were married at the historic Surgeons’ Hall, a fabulous wedding venue steeped in history and in Edinburgh’s city centre.
Surgeons’ Hall is a beautiful venue where I’ve been fortunate to photograph weddings.
It’s a great wedding venue with impressive architecture and offers total privacy for your wedding day.
No matter what the weather does on your wedding day, Surgeons’ Hall offers a beautiful range of backdrops for your wedding photos.

Surgeons’ Hall Wedding Photos
Below is a selection of my favourite photos from Jon and Mandy’s wedding at Surgeons’ Hall.
Founded in 1505, Surgeons’ Hall is officially known as the Royal College Of Surgeons Edinburgh, also known as Surgeon’s Quarter.
It contains a museum with interesting exhibits, including various surgical instruments and human tissue examples (including skulls!).
It is home to one of the world’s largest and most historic collections of surgical pathology. I’ve visited the museum with my family, and it’s fascinating.
Comprehensive coverage of Mandy and Jon’s wedding day meant an early start photographing the latter stage of the bridal party preparations before heading across to the wedding venue.
It was great to see one of my favourite pipers, Jim Nicholl, awaiting guests and piping as they entered Surgeon’s Hall.
Groom Jon looked dapper in his kilt and was in good humour as he greeted guests. Jon and Mandy were married in a beautiful Humanist ceremony officiated by Juliet Wilson.
Signing the marriage schedule officially made our newlyweds’ marriage official, and family and friends cheered as our couple celebrated with a kiss!
Congratulations to Jon and Mandy. Their wedding day was wonderful, with many moments I’ll never forget.
What a great range of photos to choose from for a wedding album! It is going to look fantastic.
