Sherbrooke Castle Hotel Wedding Photographer Photos
Here is a selection of our favourite photos taken as Emma and James’ Sherbrooke Castle Hotel wedding photographer.
Having previously photographed Emma’s sister, Alison, at her wedding, Emma contacted us to say she loved the style of the photos we took.
We were delighted to be available on Emma and James’ big day in Glasgow.
Some weddings have that extra sparkle—where love, laughter, and joy fill every moment.
Shooting beautiful photos as the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel wedding photographer was one of those days!
From the moment we arrived at Emma and James’ house for bridal preparations, we could feel the excitement and knew it would be a truly special celebration.
The morning of the wedding is always such a special time, and Emma’s was perfect as she and her lovely bridesmaids, Alison and Danielle, got ready together.
The room was bathed in natural light, perfect for photographing those happy, candid moments between the girls.
A short journey later, we arrived at Sherbrooke Castle Hotel, a magnificent baronial-style venue crafted in rich red sandstone.
A gem of a venue, nestled within its own private gardens, Sherbrooke Castle Hotel is the perfect blend of romance, elegance, and grandeur—an absolute dream for taking amazing wedding photos.
With its stunning architecture and lush surroundings, this enchanting venue provides a breathtaking backdrop for those once-in-a-lifetime moments.
James and his groomsmen looked great in their kilts as we photographed their natural energy—from classic portraits to relaxed walking shots.
James was beaming with happiness and couldn’t wait to see his beautiful bride.
Emma and James’ civil ceremony took place in the Orangery, a bright and elegant space filled with natural light.
The room was beautifully decorated, with soft pink floral arrangements framing the couple as they exchanged their meaningful vows.
Emma looked stunning in a beautiful Madi Lane couture gown as she walked down the aisle with her dad.
These moments make shooting wedding photos at Sherbrooke Castle Hotel truly rewarding.
After exchanging heartfelt vows and placing rings, the couple sealed their love with a kiss, which was met with cheers and applause from their family and friends.
The joy was infectious and an absolute delight to photograph. As they walked down the aisle, radiating utter happiness, it was clear they were soaking in every second of their incredible day!
After family and group photos, we took Emma and James for their newlywed photoshoot on the venue’s grounds, which provided the perfect backdrop for beautiful portraits.
They looked amazing together and were so much in love!

An evening of wonderful celebration followed, with the newlyweds piped into the reception room and performing their first duty of cutting the cake.
The speeches were heartfelt and funny, the perfect balance to photograph great reaction shots.
One of our favourite parts of the day to photograph is when the formalities fade away, and the joy of celebration takes over.
From Emma and James’ romantic first dance, where they get lost in the music, to the guests enthusiastically joining in, there’s never a dull moment to photograph, and we love those candid, unscripted shots.
Then there’s the ceilidh dancing, absolute chaos in the best way possible, with guests spinning, the laughter getting louder, and every moment bursting with energy!
Telling Emma and James’ love story was an absolute joy, filled with precious moments of love, fun, and connection, which allowed us to create beautiful Sherbrooke Castle Hotel wedding photos that, years later, will transport our lovely couple right back to their incredible day with their favourite people.

Sherbrooke Castle Hotel Wedding FAQs
Why is Sherbrooke Castle Hotel such a popular choice for wedding photography in Glasgow?
Sherbrooke Castle Hotel is unique because it offers the grandeur of a baronial castle right in the heart of Glasgow’s leafy Pollokshields. For a Sherbrooke Castle Hotel wedding photographer, the rich red sandstone and the “fairytale” turrets provide a spectacular backdrop that you usually only find in the Highlands. It’s perfect for couples who want a castle wedding in Scotland without leaving the city.
Where are the best photo locations at Sherbrooke Castle Hotel for couple portraits?
The venue is a dream for photography! Indoors, the grand oak staircase is a must-capture spot for dramatic bridal portraits. Outdoors, we love using the elevated terrace, which offers a stunning view of the castle’s architecture. For more intimate shots, the secluded gardens offer a lush, green contrast to the building’s red stone. We always aim to capture these in a natural, documentary style as part of our wedding photography portfolio.
Can we have an outdoor wedding ceremony at Sherbrooke Castle?
Yes, Sherbrooke Castle offers beautiful outdoor ceremonies on the terrace, provided the Scottish weather behaves! If the sun is shining, it’s one of the most romantic spots in Glasgow to say “I do” with the castle towers behind you. If it does rain, the indoor ceremony rooms are just as atmospheric, ensuring your wedding film looks incredible regardless of the weather.
What is the guest capacity for a wedding at Sherbrooke Castle Hotel?
Sherbrooke Castle is quite versatile. The Sherbrooke Suite can host larger celebrations of up to 200 guests, while more intimate spaces like the Library are perfect for smaller, boutique weddings. Because we are a husband-and-wife team, we can easily navigate both large-scale parties and intimate elopements to ensure every guest is captured.
Do you offer combined photography and videography packages for weddings at Sherbrooke Castle?
Absolutely. We specialise in providing a seamless experience where photography and film are captured by the same team. This is particularly beneficial at Sherbrooke Castle Hotel, as we know exactly how to work around the venue’s unique lighting and layout without getting in each other’s way, ensuring a relaxed and unobtrusive experience for you.
How can we check whether you are available on our wedding date at Sherbrooke Castle Hotel?
As we only take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure the highest quality, our diary fills up fast—especially for popular Glasgow castle venues. You can check our availability here. We would love to hear more about your plans and discuss the possibility of being your Sherbrooke Castle Hotel wedding photographer.
