Introduction to City Chambers
It is always a pleasure to shoot photos as the leading Edinburgh City Chambers wedding photographer.
I was honoured to be invited to photograph Rebecca and Becky’s elopement ceremony.
Edinburgh City Chambers registry office is the leading civil wedding venue in Edinburgh and is located in the heart of the city’s historic Old Town.
Surrounded by world-famous architecture, beautiful scenery, fabulous hotels, and easy access to the Waverly Station and Edinburgh Airport, Edinburgh City Chambers has everything on its doorstep to make it a fantastic setting for a destination wedding in Edinburgh.
Wedding at Edinburgh City Chambers images
Here are some of our favourite photos from Rebecca and Becky’s intimate elopement wedding at Edinburgh City Chambers.
Civil marriage ceremony in The Alexander Suite
The girls arrived at the marriage suite together, very much in love. They looked fantastic in their smart suits by King & Allen, with hair and makeup by MHM Styling. They wore beautiful buttonholes by Narcissus Flowers that added a vibrant pop of colour.
Rebecca and Becky had planned for it to be just the two of them on their special day, with Melanie from MHM Styling and myself as witnesses to the marriage ceremony. When the girls walked into the ceremony room, they were surprised to be joined by both of their Mums!
Newlywed photos in the Old Town and Arthur’s Seat
After signing the marriage schedule and being announced as the new ‘Mrs and Mrs’, we took a few photos of the newlyweds and their Mums outside Edinburgh City Chambers before heading out to shoot a few photos nearby in Edinburgh’s Old Town.
The girls looked radiant in the back of their Ecosse Classic car. We went to Holyrood Park and then on to Arthur’s Seat to shoot newlywed photos, with that wow-factor view providing the perfect backdrop.
