We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer than Jonathon (Love Wedding Photos And Film) for our wedding. From the first consultation to the final gallery, they were professional, warm, and incredibly talented. He captured every special moment — the laughter, the little details — with such artistry and care.

On the wedding day, Jonathon blended in effortlessly, making everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. The photos turned out beyond beautiful — every image tells a story, and we’ll cherish them for a lifetime.

Jonathon did a fantastic job with our photos and video. He captured the day perfectly! We got a video of the ceremony, speeches and first 3 dances which Jonathon was able to do himself with cameras set up and it was amazing to see after. I highly recommend Love Wedding Photos and Film and will use them in the future for any photographer needs I have.

Jonathon recently photographed our wedding and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our families were also extremely pleased and have been creating montages and framing the photos. Jonathon put us at ease and was professional and friendly and created lots of shots in such a short space of time. The communication before hand and after was great especially as there was last minute changes to our wedding. I would definitely recommend. Many thanks.

Norton House Hotel Wedding Photos

With 20 years of experience as a Norton House Hotel wedding photographer, we’ve built up an impressive portfolio of photos at this beautiful venue. We’re delighted to share a few of our favourite Norton House Hotel wedding photos with you below.

150 Years Of History

The main building was constructed in 1840, although we know little about the first four decades or so of its life.

However, we know John Usher, from the family that gave its name to the historic Ushers beer brand in Scotland, purchased the property in 1883.

The Usher family is to be credited with the beautiful Renaissance porch, which is still a key site at the location today.

The estate was enlarged early in the 20th century, but the house was not transformed into Norton House Hotel until the 1950s.

In subsequent years, it has become a popular choice for couples to get married.

Just minutes west of Edinburgh, this countryside estate’s history has made it the charming and welcoming place it is today.

Most rooms preserved some, if not all, of the building’s original features.

Function Suites

The Garden Suite

The Garden Suite offers a purpose-built modern alternative to the main building, complete with its Victorian walled garden area and private terrace.

It can comfortably accommodate 130 people for the ceremony and the same number for the wedding breakfast. Up to 160 people are welcome for an evening reception.

Large windows rise from the floor to meet the ceiling, flooding the room with light no matter what the weather decides to do.

It is an attractive location for a wedding, providing photographic opportunities to capture memories of your special day.

For smaller weddings or events, the Garden Suite can be split into two smaller rooms with a bespoke partition that cleverly divides the larger room into two smaller rooms.

Your wedding ceremony can take place in one of the rooms, and the celebration can move next door, where your meal can be served and your party can continue.

The two smaller rooms are called ‘Meadow’ and ‘Orchard’.

The Ballroom

This room is located in the main building at Norton House Hotel and can accommodate 140 people for the ceremony and 200 people for the reception.

It benefits from high ceilings finished with stunning brass chandeliers.

The private bar adjacent to the Ballroom makes the evening celebrations accessible to move onto, as will the dance floor.

It is a charming and spacious location for a fabulous wedding or civil partnership to begin.

The Verandah

Those searching for a more intimate location to enjoy a romantic wedding will appreciate the size of the Verandah.

Its neutral décor makes it the perfect choice for any wedding theme, and guests can enjoy views of the surrounding gardens.

The Verandah is ideal for smaller ceremonies with up to 40 guests.

Dining arrangements can be made for the same number, with an increased guest list reaching 70 for the evening reception if required.

The Patio

If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, and refined room to say your vows and celebrate with friends and family at your wedding breakfast, look no further than the Patio.

Ideal for ceremonies where guests are limited to 40 or fewer, the Patio offers panelled walls, beautiful views out onto the grounds from the bay window, chandeliers, and many other original features.

Couples with wedding breakfast plans for no more than 30 guests will find the Patio well-suited to their requirements.

Beautiful gardens

The gardens at Norton House Hotel change with the seasons.

We photograph couples at the hotel every passing season and appreciate the charming surroundings.

There are seating areas to be discovered, too – ideal for those intimate shots once the ceremony is complete.

At your wedding, we’ll use the beautiful established gardens to create fantastic newlywed photos you will cherish forever.
