We had a wonderful ‘just the two of us wedding’ at City Chambers with Jonathon and Claire. They kindly acted as our witnesses as well as producing wonderful photographs of our special day! We were very relaxed in their company and we found we enjoyed our photo shoot around Edinburgh despite being rather photo shy! When looking for a wedding photographer for our small wedding at the City Chambers in Edinburgh, I came across Love Wedding Photos and Film by chance. They offered a package for the city chambers and this is exactly what we were looking for. Communication prior to the wedding was excellent from Jonathan. We were clear on what we wanted from our photos on the day and Jonathan met our expectations. On the day Jonathan was very kind and you could tell that he knew what he was doing and what locations would look the best in the photographs. We only spent an hour with Jonathan but he made us both feel comfortable.
Turn around on our photos was excellent, we expected to wait about 8 weeks as that seems to be the normal amount of time but our photos were back in under 3 weeks from our wedding date. They are lovely quality and Jonathan did and amazing job of capturing some beautiful pictures of our special day.

I can not thank Jonathon enough for the amazing service we received. My husband and I were both quite anxious on the day, however Jonathon put us both at ease. He is both professional and approachable. He knew exactly what to do with the camera and the shots look incredible. I am overjoyed at the pictures, I can't stop looking through them. If we had to sum up our experience, it was perfect ! The pictures captured our moments beautifully. We have been struggling to pick the best ones for prints as all are brilliant especially the Black and White. Jonathon is a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended ! 🙂

We couldn't be happier with our photographs and video of our wedding by Love Wedding Photos and Film. We found them on Instagram and instantly fell in love with their work. Right from the first contact made Jonathan went above and beyond the service given. We were absolutely delighted with the photographs and we still haven't made up our minds which ones to order as all of them were great and just what we wanted. On the actual day we didn't want any fuss and taking the photographs was exactly that. Just like old friends going for a wander around the Royal Mile, having a laugh, taking some pictures which all turned out way beyond our expectations. Both Jonathan and Claire were very friendly, helpful, professional and made the whole experience fun when it could have been quite daunting. Jonathon was an absolute gem on our wedding day and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. He was professional, clever and made everyone feel at ease. The photos were absolutely beautiful. Several family members and friends commented that the photos “looked like they were just out of a magazine”, which was due to Jonathon’s talent and experience. We also received a sneak peek by the next day, and the rest of the photos the following week! I would also like to mention that he provided us a very last minute and very discounted videography (tripod) service as my mom, family and friends were all in Canada due to Covid19. I was concerned that the zoom call would malfunction (which it did!). We were impressed with his editing skills as there was a bit of chatter in the background of the zoom call during the ceremony and he managed to remove pretty well all of it. To sum things up: Jonathon did an all-around brilliant job, we are so pleased with his services and we would certainly recommend him to anyone!

We have just had the most fantastic experience with Jonathon last week at our Edinburgh City Chambers ceremony. We booked with him earlier this year and straight away felt at ease communicating regularly via email. He was happy answering questions at length and never made us feel like we were bothering him, always replying within the day. Unfortunately our wedding fell during the pandemic and for a long time we were unsure if it would go ahead, but Jonathon was patient and encouraging and assured us that he'd be ready to shoot our wedding at only a days notice if required. On the day he attended earlier than planned, as requested by us, at a moments notice and was friendly but professional throughout the day. We felt totally at ease and he went above and beyond to make sure we got the images we had dreamed of on our special day! We're really pleased with the video. To be honest, it was never our idea to get one - we had our arms twisted by my mum - and we sat down to watch it last week expecting to cringe all the way through but were so surprised at how good it was and how pleased we are now to have it! (although I did have to admit to my mum she was right!) The quality is great, the sound's excellent and it's a lovely reminder of the day. We particularly like the way you picked up on our sense of humour and left some funny lines in on the audio. It really feels like the video has been customised for us rather than made-to-formula which I suspect is the case with other companies!

Jonathon was absolutely amazing on our wedding day - he had an extremely calm, organised, unobtrusive and professional manner which was invaluable on a rather stressful day! He was so knowledgeable in terms of recommending the best light and locations for our various photos, and was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the day. Jonathon photographed my wedding in June and he was fantastic. He is so experienced and laid back he makes everyone very at ease and comfortable. He has great ideas for shots that would work well, as well as incorporating shots that you really want to get. On my big day the weather was rubbish and it rained all day which meant changing some of our plans but Jonathon was brilliant at adapting and coming up with new ideas. We were able to get some beautiful shots. Jonathon is such a lovely guy, he was the only wedding photographer we met with as my husband and I hit it off with him straight away. We contacted Jonathon several months before our wedding, he responded very quickly and our first impression was that he was very friendly and professional. We were both very impressed by his photos on his website and were both keen to have him as our photographer.

On the big day, he turned up to the chambers to meet and greet us and wasted no time to get started taking photos of everyone there. He has taken many photos at the chambers before so not only did he know where the best shots were, but he also helped us in terms of what to do and expect on the day. He did well to settle a few nerves too!

Following the chambers, we headed up to Calton Hill to get more photos. These turned out to be incredible shots that we fell in love with instantly. With his vast knowledge and passion for photography, he wasted no time in getting as many shots in many different locations. This was particularly important as we only had booked a short time with him.

I would 100% recommend Jonathon to anyone, especially if you are getting married in Edinburgh. Our family and friends were all very impressed by the final photos and have all commented to us that Jonathon was a joy to work with on the day.
