Here are all of the ‘best bits’, our highlights edit video of this fabulous wedding day, edited to music chosen by the newlyweds.
Pre-ceremony preparations
It was a wet, dreary start to our day as Dunglass Estate wedding videographers.
However, spirits were high and certainly not dampened by the weather as the excitement for the marriage nuptials grew.
This wedding was filled with excitement and surprises, love and laughter, and a day full of fun with a fabulous crowd of people.
Straying just a little from wedding tradition, this fabulous wedding reflected their personalities and a few of their favourite things;
- a DeLorean car and hoverboard (as seen in the ‘Back To The Future’ movies)
- Doctor Who’s Tardis
- a full-sized Dalek!
Arriving at Dunglass House, our bride and her family warmly welcomed us.
Such a lovely, friendly group made for a super relaxed morning with a great atmosphere, the perfect start to our day as a wedding videographer at Dunglass Estate.
With hair and makeup in full swing, the girls enjoyed fizz, a few nibbles and a lot of laughs as I captured candid shots for the wedding film.
Jonathon filmed our groom and his best man in the Steading Cottage on Dunglass Estate.
The boys then made their way to greet friends and family gathered in Dunglass Church, a 15th-century semi-ruined building on the private estate.
Humanist ceremony in Dunglass Church
Marielle and Graham had a wonderfully personable Humanist ceremony led by Graham’s brother, Andy.
Marielle’s brothers and sister gave beautiful, loving, and heartfelt readings.
The church was filled with laughter, love and happiness as our delightful bride and groom exchanged marriage vows and rings.
Our couple promised each other new adventures, never going to bed on an argument.
It was love and a commitment between best friends, lovers, and soul mates.
This is what makes being a Dunglass Estate wedding videographer so enjoyable!
Drinks reception and surprise DeLorean car
The piper played in celebration as our newlyweds walked through their ‘bubble tunnel’, a real crowd-pleaser as guests congratulated our happy couple.
In the marquee, candelabras flickered, adding to the romantic ambience.
Guests mingled, enjoying cocktails served in teacups, and Dusty The Magician provided entertainment.
We filmed the reactions and laughter as guests enjoyed amusing and touching speeches from the father of the bride and groom.
There was a S.W.O.T analysis from our groom’s best man, complete with a PowerPoint presentation!
Speeches
Finally, we got the answer to ‘why is there a full-sized Tardis in the marquee?’
Graham asked Marielle what she would like for her 30th birthday.
The answer? She wanted a time-travelling machine, of course!
So Graham built her one. And it’s incredible! We especially liked using it as a bar in their garden.
And the DeLorean? Well, that was a surprise gift from our bride to her groom.
Then our beautiful bride said a few words and said happy birthday to her little cousin, who was sharing his 13th birthday with them today.
Cake cutting and dancing
Our day as Dunglass Estate wedding videographer drew to a close with coverage of cutting the beautiful wedding cake (topped with a Tardis!) and the first few dances.
It was a perfect ending to such a fantastic day.
To our newlyweds, thank you for allowing us to film your unique wedding day.
