I have always loved photographing a couple in a great venue; being Sarah and Gary’s 100 Princes Street wedding photographer was a lot of fun!

This was my first ever wedding at this beautiful city-centre venue.

I met Sarah and Gary about a year before their wedding day.

I knew it would be a great location for a wedding.

It’s a beautiful and historic old building on Edinburgh’s most recognisable street, Princes Street.

We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer than Jonathon (Love Wedding Photos And Film) for our wedding. From the first consultation to the final gallery, they were professional, warm, and incredibly talented. He captured every special moment — the laughter, the little details — with such artistry and care.

On the wedding day, Jonathon blended in effortlessly, making everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. The photos turned out beyond beautiful — every image tells a story, and we’ll cherish them for a lifetime.

If you’re looking for someone who truly understands how to capture the heart and soul of your wedding, look no further. Jonathon (Love Wedding Photos And Film) is simply amazing!

Jonathon did a fantastic job with our photos and video. He captured the day perfectly! We got a video of the ceremony, speeches and first 3 dances which Jonathon was able to do himself with cameras set up and it was amazing to see after. I highly recommend Love Wedding Photos and Film and will use them in the future for any photographer needs I have.

Jonathon recently photographed our wedding and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our families were also extremely pleased and have been creating montages and framing the photos. Jonathon put us at ease and was professional and friendly and created lots of shots in such a short space of time. The communication before hand and after was great especially as there was last minute changes to our wedding. I would definitely recommend. Many thanks.

100 Princes Street Wedding Photos

Here is a selection of my favourite 100 Princes Street wedding photos from Sarah and Gary’s wonderful day.

I enjoyed our pre-wedding photoshoot in Cramond.

It was probably the wettest photoshoot I’ve ever done, but throughout, these guys were laughing and smiling! I knew they would be good fun on their wedding day.

Being a 100 Princes Street wedding photographer is pure joy.

This stunning venue in the city’s heart combines timeless elegance with breathtaking views, making every moment feel magical.

Overlooking Edinburgh Castle and the iconic city skyline, the setting provides an unbeatable backdrop for capturing beautiful, unique wedding photos.

The venue is brimming with character and charm, with its luxurious interiors, intricate detailing, and rich history offering endless creative opportunities.

From the grand staircase to the stylish reception spaces, every corner of 100 Princes Street is picture-perfect.

As a photographer, you can truly play with light and angles to craft unforgettable shots that reflect the couple’s love story.

In summer, the natural light floods through the venue’s large windows, adding a soft, golden glow to the images.

Stepping outside, Princes Street Gardens and the nearby historic streets create even more dreamy photo locations.

Whether it’s a romantic kiss with the castle behind or candid moments of laughter during the celebration, this venue guarantees stunning visuals.

Creating 100 Princes Street wedding photos is not just about capturing pictures—it’s about preserving the magic and joy of the day in one of Edinburgh’s most iconic and romantic settings.

My coverage of this exciting day began with the Bridal preparations in the morning.

Sarah and the girls were good fun to be around.

Gary and the boys arrived about an hour before the ceremony began, so we headed up to the roof of the building, which offered one of the best views of Edinburgh Castle.

Gary was relaxed and looking forward to marrying the love of his life.

Sarah and Gary’s wedding ceremony was good fun to photograph.

Our couple looked so happy as we announced the new Mr and Mrs!

Family and guests congratulated the couple before we took a short walk across the road to Princes Street Gardens for the formal group and newlywed photos.

What a spectacular backdrop for photos, with Edinburgh Castle and the greenery of the gardens adding to the occasion.

Back at 100 Princes Street, our newlyweds were announced to the top table to rapturous applause.

The speeches were fun to photograph, with lots of amusing tales which had the guests laughing out loud.

After the wedding breakfast, the sun had set, so I took a few photos of the newlyweds on Princes Street with Edinburgh Castle in the background. I used a slow shutter speed to capture the movement of a tram as it sped past.

Sarah and Gary are a fun couple to be around and a pleasure to photograph, as they are relaxed in front of the camera.

I loved this wedding day and look forward to designing a gorgeous set of wedding albums for Sarah and Gary.
