Nestled in the Scottish countryside, this 13th-century fortress oozes history, romance, and charm, making it an unparalleled setting for capturing magical moments.
From the moment you arrive, the castle’s grand stone exterior, lush grounds, and serene river views create an atmosphere that feels straight out of a fairy tale.

Every corner of Dalhousie offers something unique for wedding photos.
The grand staircases, opulent interiors, and dramatic stone archways make for regal, timeless portraits.

Couples love exploring the grounds, creating fun, spontaneous moments—like a giggle-filled stroll across the bridge or a playful sword pose in the castle’s medieval hall.

The wedding ceremony took place in Dalhousie Castle’s chapel.
A highlight of the ceremony was having the wedding rings ‘delivered’ by an owl.
Once the nuptials were completed, everyone headed outside to congratulate our newlyweds and begin the formal group photos.
We were so pleased that the weather was kind.
While the guests enjoyed a glass of champagne, the newlyweds spent around thirty minutes shooting photos around Dalhousie Castle’s beautiful and spacious grounds.
Our photoshoot ended with pictures of the newlyweds embracing on Dalhousie’s impressive ‘throne’!
It’s always entertaining when the speeches take place.
Everyone learns a bit more about the couple and a few amusing anecdotes.
Toasts to the newlyweds were completed, and everyone settled down to enjoy the sumptuous wedding breakfast.
Our coverage of Andrew and Barbara’s wonderful wedding day ended after the first few dances in the evening.
By the time we departed, the party was well underway, with family and guests joining the newlyweds on the spacious dancefloor.
