Being a The Barn at Harburn wedding videographer is always fun and memorable.
As an experienced videographer, capturing love stories in this magical setting never gets old.
Nestled in the heart of West Lothian, this rustic yet elegant barn offers the perfect backdrop for stunning wedding films.
The natural light streaming through the large barn doors, the rolling countryside, and the charming wooden beams create a dreamy, cinematic atmosphere.
Every wedding here feels unique. The open spaces allow for breathtaking drone shots, while intimate corners provide those heartfelt, candid moments that make your The Barn at Harburn wedding video unique.
Whether the couple’s emotional vows in the beautifully adorned barn or their first dance under twinkling lights, every frame feels like a scene from a romance film.
The Barn at Harburn is a videographer’s paradise where love, laughter, and nature come together to create timeless, unforgettable wedding films.
My day began with arriving at Harburn House about three hours before the ceremony.
For a change, the weather was beautiful and sunny, though massive clouds were building on the horizon.
Perfect weather for filming a little bit of timelapse video. You can check out the timelapse sequence here:
After spending around 20 minutes taking enough photos to create the timelapse footage, it was time to film some wedding party preparations.
Everyone was pretty relaxed, with the boys getting dressed while quaffing champagne and listening to music.
No signs of nerves at all. Upstairs, the girls were also friendly, relaxed, and enjoying a wee glass of champagne!
The wedding ceremony took place at another location within the Harburn Estate. ‘The Barn at Harburn’ is a former stable converted into a wedding ceremony room.
Claire and Brent chose to be married at a Humanist wedding ceremony.
I love these ceremonies; each is unique, with the couple writing their marriage vows.
Humanist ceremonies are becoming more and more popular, and it’s easy to see why when each couple can create bespoke vows for one another.
Fortunately, the weather stayed beautiful and sunny for the rest of the day.
The guests enjoyed champagne and canapes in the garden, making the most of this beautiful and tranquil setting.
Claire and Brent took a few photos at The Barn at Harburn, after which we returned to Harburn House.

I filmed a grand entrance to the marquee using my Steadicam rig.
Claire and Brent walked towards me as I walked backwards, with family and guests cheering the newlyweds as they entered.
A wonderful and unique perspective on one of the highlights of any wedding day!
The wedding breakfast barbecue was an inspired choice with the weather so lovely!
The speeches took place after the meal, with some cracking one-liners from Brent and his best man.
My day ended with filming the wedding cake cutting and the first few dances.
DJ Lee-Live provided entertainment for the evening.
I filmed the first few dances using my Steadicam rig, filming some gorgeous shots of the newlyweds dancing, the perfect ending to Claire and Brent’s The Barn at Harburn wedding video.
This was a wonderful wedding day in a beautiful setting.
