St Mary’s Cathedral Wedding Photos
Here is a selection of our favourite St Mary’s Cathedral wedding photos from Rebecca and Ross’s fabulous Edinburgh wedding day.
Catholic Marriage Ceremony

Rebecca and Ross chose the fabulous setting of St Mary’s Cathedral Edinburgh, for their marriage ceremony.
We’ve always loved photographing and filming Catholic marriage ceremonies at this fabulous and historic building in Edinburgh’s city centre.
Guests arrived at the church, and part of our role as St Mary’s Cathedral wedding photographer was capturing candid photos as guests heard the Celtic skirl of the bagpipes, played by legendary Pipe Major Iain Grant.
Groomsman Ross looked smart in his kilt outfit from local kiltmaker Gordon Nicholson.
Ross looked so happy; he didn’t seem nervous and took everything in his stride as he greeted and chatted with his guests.
Joined by fifty of their closest family and friends, Rebecca and Ross had a touching marriage ceremony led by Father Jamie McMorrin.
A public proclamation of their love and their bond for each other, Rebecca and Ross beamed with happiness as they became husband and wife.
Rebecca glowed as we shot her St Mary’s Cathedral wedding photos.
She was such a beautiful bride; her radiance was captivating.
Classic and elegant, Rebecca wore her long hair in soft waves, a crystal tiara and a delicate bridal veil.
Her stunning dress with crystal and pearl detailing was by Edinburgh-based designer Tatsiana Marynich of Fashion Bride.
After the marriage ceremony, the newlyweds were met with warm congratulations.
A group photo of the bride and groom caught the attention of passers-by.
Then, a beautiful confetti shower followed on the steps in front of St Mary’s Cathedral Edinburgh.
Newlywed Photos at Old College

Afterwards, Jonathon and the newlyweds drove from Lothian Classic Wedding Cars to Old College on South Bridge.
The Old College is a building that forms part of the University of Edinburgh.
Its stunning architecture made the perfect setting and backdrop for Rebecca and Ross’s romantic newlywed photo shoot.
Reception at The Caledonian Edinburgh

Claire made her way to The Caledonian Edinburgh, where guests enjoyed themselves at the champagne reception in the Castle Lounge.
The mood was happy, relaxed and charming.
The room was filled with smooth tones from the piano.
It was great to see everyone having such a wonderful time.
Returning to The Caledonian for the hotel’s first big event since lockdown was fantastic and an honour.
The hotel’s friendly and professional staff always make us feel welcome.
It was great to see The Caledonian Hotel looking so good and busy.
The Castle Suite looked sensational, dressed for the meal.
Tables adorned with beautiful fresh flowers by local florists, Roseparks, and pretty pink organza bows tied on the backs of chairs.
Delicate favours of French macarons positioned at each table setting added the perfect personal touch.
Speeches in The Castle Suite

As the newlyweds were announced into The Castle Suite, guests clapped and cheered in time with the piper Iain.
What a joyous occasion with a great atmosphere!
A delicious meal was served for all to enjoy, followed by emotional and humorous speeches by Rebecca’s Dad, Ross’s brother and the groomsman himself.
There was a lot of laughter! It was awesome to capture all the reactions, all the joy, and all the love of Rebecca and Ross’s fabulous day.
First Dance in The Castle Suite

Rebecca and Ross took to the dancefloor to perform their first official duties as husband and wife, the cake cutting and their first dance.
Surrounded by family and friends, watching in complete awe as Rebecca and Ross twirled around the dancefloor.
They looked very much in love and lost in that special moment together!
We had a fantastic day being a St Mary’s Cathedral wedding photographer! Congratulations once again to our lovely newlyweds.
