Andrew and Nicola wanted an experienced The Vu wedding photographer to shoot beautiful photos of their wedding day. So I was very honoured when they chose me to take photos of their wedding at this brilliant wedding venue in West Lothian.
This lovely couple were married at The Vu, The Bathgate Hills, Ballencrieff Reservoir, B792, Bathgate EH48 4LD.
Great to be back at Bathgate’s leading wedding venue. The Vu wedding venue offers a modern setting for your wedding day, and the views across West Lothian are outstanding. Andrew and Nicola’s The Vu wedding ceremony was held in ‘Waterlily’, a modern building with floor to ceiling windows, built on a man-made island at the edge of Ballencrieff Reservoir.
Nicola and Andrew were married in a wonderfully personal Humanist wedding ceremony. After the ceremony, the rest of the celebrations were held in ‘The Oasis’, another modern building specially built to cater for weddings.
One of the key features of The Vu is the jetty leading out onto the reservoir. This is a wonderful location for creating beautiful newly-wed wedding photos at The Vu. I created some beautiful photos of Andrew and Nicola on the jetty, in spite of the high winds!
Back at The Oasis, I had the pleasure of photographing the speeches, cutting of the wedding cake and the first few dances.
Congratulations to Andrew and Nicola, this lovely couple were a pleasure to photograph and made photographing this The Vu wedding particularly enjoyable. The photos from their wedding are going to look wonderful in their wedding albums.
