Siobhan and Lee asked me to create their The Hub wedding photos in Edinburgh. What a great day we had!
The Hub wedding venue is located on Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile.
And what a scorcher of a day! I reckon it’s probably the hottest day of the year so far!

The Hub wedding photos
Here are some of my favourite photos from Siobhan and Lee’s The Hub wedding.
You might also enjoy Katia and Roy’s wedding reception at The Hub.
I photographed the entire day, from Siobhan’s morning preparations to the evening dancing.
After spending an hour with Siobhan and the girls, it was time to head into the city centre and meet Lee and his guys at The Castle Arms pub.
Lee was fairly relaxed and had a beer and a dram to steady his nerves.
We headed over to The Hub about 30 minutes before the ceremony.
The place was heaving with tourists!
There’s nothing like having a Scottish Piper and a group of guys in kilts to attract tourists!
The Bridesmaids arrived in a white stretched limo, while Siobhan arrived in a beautiful white Rolls Royce.
Siobhan looked stunning in her white wedding dress as she headed inside for the Humanist wedding ceremony, which took place upstairs in The Gallery.
After The Hub wedding ceremony, the newlyweds and I headed off in the Rolls Royce to take advantage of the city centre location and amazing weather to shoot a few beautiful wedding photos.
The first stop was Johnston Terrace, with Castle Rock as a dramatic backdrop for fabulous photos.
Then, we entered Princes Street Gardens, with Ross Fountain and Edinburgh Castle as the perfect backdrop for a lovely photo. After a few more shots in the Gardens, it was time to head back to The Hub for the champagne reception and traditional group photo shoot.
Siobhan and Lee were cheered into the fantastic Main Hall, with Siobhan’s Dad, Lee, and the Best Man going straight into the speeches.
Funny and, at times, emotional, the speeches were entertaining and good fun to photograph.
As the Main Hall was prepared for the evening celebrations, Siobhan, Lee and I headed to Edinburgh Castle Esplanade to shoot a few more newlywed photos.
We couldn’t have timed it better, with a pipe band practice run about to commence for the forthcoming Military Tattoo.
It is a great backdrop to more beautiful wedding photos.
A short walk down the Royal Mile was the perfect setting for creating even more gorgeous photos.
Siobhan and Lee were the perfect newlywed couple, and their love for each other was clear.
They made my role very easy and were happy to take my advice on location to shoot photos.
Congratulations to Siobhan and Lee. It’s going to be great seeing your beautiful wedding albums.
Northern Star band live at The Hub
After cutting the wedding cake, the evening celebrations started with the first dance — the perfect end to the perfect wedding day.
A highlight of the day was the live band Northern Star.
I caught a bit of their sound check, and the videographer in me kicked into action.
I recorded this short clip, which shows off their brilliant talent.
They’re an excellent band; check them out by viewing this short video:
