Wedding photographer at The Hub – see colourful Mexican and Scottish reception photos

Katia and Roy had been searching for an experienced The Hub wedding photographer, so we were delighted when they asked us to photograph their Mexican-Scottish wedding reception at this gorgeous and historic wedding venue in Edinburgh.

This was one of those days when everything came together to make a wonderful and memorable occasion.

We’d love to be The Hub wedding photographer for you on your big day, and can assure you of the very best service and outstanding photos. But don’t just take our word for it:

Jonathon and Claire are the loviest couple.. from our very first communication they made us feel special and were so interested in who we are as people! They tailored everything just for us, and had they not radiated such beauty and kindness, we wouldn’t have even known they were there… and for two people like us who HATE getting photos taken, we had a great time and felt so comfortable!

We got married on 31st December, and they gave up their own celebrations with their families to help us capture ours...

We truly hit the jackpot, and wouldn’t ever trust anyone else to capture our special celebrations and moments!

Please don’t pass up the opportunity on having these two look after your special day! Very trustworthy and fantastic value for money.

The Hub Wedding Photographer Photos

Some of our favourite creative wedding photography from this fabulous day.

Mexican Katia and Scotsman Roy tied the knot a year ago in Mexico.

The couple chose The Hub, “home of the Edinburgh International Festival”, an iconic landmark on the Edinburgh skyline, as the most perfect of Edinburgh wedding venues for a fabulous wedding reception to celebrate their marriage with all their family and friends.

Being a wedding photographer at The Hub in Edinburgh is pure joy.

Nestled at the heart of the Royal Mile, this iconic wedding venue combines historic charm with vibrant modernity.

Its dramatic spire, grand staircase, and stunning interiors offer endless creative opportunities for unique shots.

The rich colours and Gothic architecture create a magical, romantic atmosphere, while the lively energy of the city adds a dynamic backdrop.

Photographing couples surrounded by the beauty of Edinburgh’s skyline or within the Hub’s elegant spaces is an unforgettable experience.

Every wedding here combines fun, creativity, and pure photographic magic!

Reception at The Hub

The Mexicans and the Scots know how to party!

It was such a gorgeous sunny day in Edinburgh city centre.

It has a great atmosphere, with all the hustle, bustle and excitement of tourists and people out and about viewing Edinburgh’s Royal Mile World Heritage architecture.

The Hub was the perfect venue for an upbeat wedding celebration like this.

Its location close to Edinburgh Castle and right in the heart of Edinburgh’s historic Old Town gave Katia and Roy’s memorable wedding reception a certain edge and a real buzz of excitement.

The day started with taking candid shots of guests arriving at the venue.

In a floral dress, Katia looked sensational, and Roy looked dapper in his kilt.

Guests dressed in their finery, and most definitely dressed to impress.

All the ladies look jaw-droppingly beautiful in such amazing outfits, statement jewellery and killer heels.

The gents looked great in suits and complete traditional Scottish kilt outfits.

Delicious canapés were served, and champagne flowed in the Café Hub as guests relaxed and mingled, and children played.

The air was filled with chatting, laughter and gorgeous background music – all adding to the perfect ambience as the day unfolded.

Meticulous planning and preparation paid off as the day went without fault and had such a happy and relaxed feel.

Speeches and dancing in the Main Hall

After group photographs were taken on the grand staircase, the wedding party moved into The Main Hall for heartfelt speeches and a delicious wedding breakfast.

The Main Hall looked stunning.

Tables named after some of Scotland’s most famous whiskies and beautiful dried flowers included Scottish thistle-filled empty whisky bottles.

Katia and Roy certainly pulled out all the stops.

There was so much attention to detail, with little nods to Katia’s and Roy’s nationalities throughout their special day.

Tunnocks tea cakes, sweet treats from Mexico, and a piper and ceilidh dancing into the early hours made our role as The Hub wedding photographer so memorable.

A black-and-white image of a lively ballroom dance event. People are dancing in pairs on a large wooden floor, surrounded by tables and ornate walls by The Hub wedding photographer.

Congratulations, Katia and Roy!
