Great to be asked by Lauren and Wayne to be their Glencorse House wedding photographer. And also great to be back at one of Midlothian’s favourite wedding venues, Glencorse House. Lauren and Wayne’s wedding at Glencorse House was a wonderfully memorable occasion. I really liked seeing how many family and friends had travelled from far and wide across the world to celebrate with Lauren and Wayne.
I had already met Lauren and Wayne on a couple of occasions. Before their wedding day, we met for a pre-wedding ‘engagement photoshoot’ at Inverleith Park in Edinburgh a few weeks before their wedding day. I knew from our photo session that Lauren and Wayne would be great to photograph on their wedding day – happy, smiley and lots of fun to be around.
My day of photography began when I arrived to take photos of Lauren and her beautiful bridesmaid’s preparations at The Sun Inn, Lothian Bridge, Midlothian. The champagne was flowing and the excitement was building. Great to see everyone excited and having fun!
I drove across to Glencorse House and met Wayne and the boys outside Glencorse Kirk. This is the private church within Glencorse Estate. Not many wedding venues can boast of having their own private church!
Unfortunately, the weather was awful most of the day, but the atmosphere created by everyone present more than made up for it! Glencorse Kirk is a beautiful wedding venue and especially atmospheric on a dark and wet day like this.
Lauren and Wayne are the perfect couple and couldn’t have looked happier on their wedding day at Glencorse House. You can see they are the perfect match when viewing their wedding photos – relaxed, happy and without a care in the world.
Photos like these deserve to be seen in a beautiful wedding album, I look forward to designing an album for Lauren and Wayne very soon.
