We were honoured to be invited by Kirsty and Billy to be their Riddles Court wedding photographers.

Riddles Court is one of our favourite wedding venues, set in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town.

Living and working in Australia but originally from Scotland, Kirsty and Billy decided to return to Scotland to marry.

Our couple had been looking at many Edinburgh wedding venues, and it’s clear why they chose such a beautiful place to be married.

We’re delighted to share our Riddle’s Court natural, unposed wedding photos.

Riddles Court Wedding Photographer 5-Star Reviews

Choose us as your Riddles Court wedding photographer to receive our fantastic photos and award-winning customer service. But don’t just take our word for it:

Jonathon and Claire are the loviest couple.. from our very first communication they made us feel special and were so interested in who we are as people! They tailored everything just for us, and had they not radiated such beauty and kindness, we wouldn’t have even known they were there… and for two people like us who HATE getting photos taken, we had a great time and felt so comfortable!

We got married on 31st December, and they gave up their own celebrations with their families to help us capture ours...

We truly hit the jackpot, and wouldn’t ever trust anyone else to capture our special celebrations and moments!

Please don’t pass up the opportunity on having these two look after your special day! Very trustworthy and fantastic value for money.

Pre-ceremony Bridal Preparations

Our day shooting Riddles Court wedding photos started with bridal preparations.

Her Mum and fabulous bridesmaids joined the beautiful bride, Kirsty.

Hair and makeup artist Melanie Herriot of MHM Styling was in full swing.

The morning felt lovely and relaxed as we captured candid photos of the ladies’ special time together.

Kirsty looked sensational in a beautifully modern gown by Made In Love.

A bride’s father rarely walks his daughter up the Royal Mile before walking her down the aisle.

Holding onto her Dad, with her Mum and bridesmaids following behind, Kirsty made the short journey to the venue on foot.

Humanist marriage ceremony in The Geddes room

Humanist celebrants Bryan Begg and Louise McAllister of Ceremonies. Scot conducted Kirsty and Billy’s marriage ceremony in The Geddes room.

Bryan and Louise were a great double act that beautifully told Kirsty and Billy’s love story.

They explained how these lovebirds met and a little about their wonderful life together in Australia with their two dogs, Bonnie and Baxter.

The newlyweds were met with warm embraces of congratulations from their family and friends.

Guests enjoyed drinks and canapes before going outside for a small selection of group photos in the venue’s courtyard.

Newlywed photoshoot in the Old Town

Given the venue’s fantastic central location on the Royal Mile, there were many opportunities to photograph some beautiful moments of the newlyweds using the stunning setting of Edinburgh’s Old Town.

Evening celebrations in The Library

Evening celebrations got underway with hilarious and heartfelt speeches.

After a delicious meal, everyone went outside for sparklers.

Kirsty and Billy beamed with happiness as they walked through their sparkler tunnel.

The newlyweds performed their first dance and were quickly joined by their family and friends on the dance floor.

The wedding band, The Soul Establishment, started the party, and everybody was up on their feet, ready to dance the night away.

What a fabulous end to our day as Riddles Court wedding photographer.
