Pre-ceremony Bridal Preparations
Our day shooting Riddles Court wedding photos started with bridal preparations.
Her Mum and fabulous bridesmaids joined the beautiful bride, Kirsty.
Hair and makeup artist Melanie Herriot of MHM Styling was in full swing.
The morning felt lovely and relaxed as we captured candid photos of the ladies’ special time together.
Kirsty looked sensational in a beautifully modern gown by Made In Love.
A bride’s father rarely walks his daughter up the Royal Mile before walking her down the aisle.
Holding onto her Dad, with her Mum and bridesmaids following behind, Kirsty made the short journey to the venue on foot.
Humanist marriage ceremony in The Geddes room
Humanist celebrants Bryan Begg and Louise McAllister of Ceremonies.Scot conducted Kirsty and Billy’s marriage ceremony in The Geddes room.
Bryan and Louise were a great double-act that beautifully told Kirsty and Billy’s love story.
They explained how these lovebirds met and a little about their wonderful life together in Australia with their two dogs, Bonnie and Baxter.
The newlyweds were met with warm embraces of congratulations from their family and friends.
Guests enjoyed drinks and canapes before going outside for a small selection of group photos in the venue’s courtyard.
Newlywed photoshoot in the Old Town
Given the venue’s fantastic central location on the Royal Mile, there were many opportunities to photograph some beautiful moments of the newlyweds using the stunning setting of Edinburgh’s Old Town.
Evening celebrations in The Library
Evening celebrations got underway with hilarious and heartfelt speeches.
After a delicious meal, everyone went outside for sparklers.
Kirsty and Billy beamed with happiness as they walked through their sparkler tunnel.
The newlyweds performed their first dance and were quickly joined by their family and friends on the dancefloor.
The wedding band, The Soul Establishment, started the party, and everybody was up on their feet, ready to dance the night away.
What a fabulous end to our day shooting Riddles Court wedding photos.
