Being Lauren and Stewart Peebles Hydro wedding videographer was everything we could have ever dreamed of, and we were delighted to be trusted to film this special day.

When you allow us to be your Peebles Hydro wedding videographer, we promise you award-winning customer service and a fabulous cinematic video, but don’t just take our word for it:

Jonathon and Claire are the loviest couple.. from our very first communication they made us feel special and were so interested in who we are as people! They tailored everything just for us, and had they not radiated such beauty and kindness, we wouldn’t have even known they were there… and for two people like us who HATE getting photos taken, we had a great time and felt so comfortable!

We got married on 31st December, and they gave up their own celebrations with their families to help us capture ours...

We truly hit the jackpot, and wouldn’t ever trust anyone else to capture our special celebrations and moments!

Please don’t pass up the opportunity on having these two look after your special day! Very trustworthy and fantastic value for money.

Peebles Hydro Hotel Wedding Video – Lauren and Stewart’s Highlights Film

Being invited to be a Peebles Hydro wedding videographer is always a pleasure.

As an Edinburgh wedding videographer, we’re accustomed to seeing beautiful venues, but this stunning venue, situated in the Scottish Borders, boasting breathtaking scenery, grand architecture, and endless creative possibilities, ranks among the best in Edinburgh.

Capturing a couple’s love story against rolling hills, elegant interiors, and dreamy golden-hour light is incredibly satisfying.

Peebles Hydro’s blend of historic charm and modern luxury makes it a magical setting for cinematic films.

Every moment is filled with beauty, from emotional vows in the Ballroom to lively celebrations on the terrace.

As a Peebles Hydro wedding videographer, the joy comes from preserving these memories, crafting a timeless, heartfelt film that couples will cherish forever. It’s more than a job; it’s storytelling at its finest.

Arriving at Peebles Hydro, we captured drone footage of the lovely, lush green countryside surrounding this impressive venue. The hotel is proudly situated on 30 acres of Peebles countryside.

We went to Lauren to film the latter stages of her bridal preparations.

It was all go with the girls as the make-up and hairstylists styled Lauren and her fantastic team of bridesmaids.

Claire stayed with Lauren and the girls, capturing film footage of them getting ready and enjoying the morning together.

Jonathon teamed up with Groom Stewart and the boys. Stewart and his best man, brother Chris, were dressed in their own Huntley tartan and looked the part.

The groomsmen were also smartly turned out and dressed in kilts from local retailer Graham McGrath for the occasion.

World champion bagpiper Grant Munro welcomed guests as they arrived for Lauren and Stewart’s big day.

Celebrant Alyson Stewart conducted Lauren and Stewart’s humanist marriage ceremony.

It was a relaxed and fun ceremony made personable by Lauren and Stewart exchanging beautiful vows.

They drank from the quaich or loving cup. Two drinks were combined and could never be separated, a symbolic gesture of Lauren and Stewart’s love and union.

The quaich, an ancient Scottish tradition, was used during clan times to offer hospitality to visitors.

But this was a very wary time. There were two handles, so the guest had to hold the quaich with both hands, preventing them from producing a dagger!

In the 16th century, King James VI met and fell in love with Queen Anne of Denmark.

He loved and trusted her people, so he used a solid quaich as a mark of respect and trust.

Lauren and Stewart literally ‘tied the knot’ in a handfasting ceremony.

Handfasting also came from clan times when clan chiefs were granted the right to marry on their grounds by handfasting any couples who approached them.

They would go with two female members of their families and ask permission. Permission was granted, and the bottoms of their skirts were torn off and wrapped loosely around the couple’s hands.

This is where the saying tying the knot originally comes from.

Yay! They did it! Officially husband and wife, Lauren and Stewart walked down the aisle, surrounded by family and friends.

Guests enjoyed the drinks reception outside on the grounds of the venue.

The newlyweds were met with warm congratulations from all their guests. Such special moments to capture on video.

Claire stayed with guests, catching all the fun at the drinks reception; Jonathon filmed the newlyweds during their photoshoot.

A grand celebration followed for all to enjoy! Emotional speeches, a delicious wedding breakfast and a surprise video message!

Filming Lauren and Stewart’s day as Peebles Hydro wedding videographer was a pleasure!
