When Holly and Daniel first contacted us, their excitement about their upcoming wedding at Melville Castle was palpable, and we were equally thrilled to be a part of their journey.

Melville Castle is a magical wedding venue just outside Edinburgh in Midlothian. It provided the perfect backdrop for Holly and Daniel’s small wedding with their closest family and friends.

Our photography coverage began with groom Daniel as he enjoyed getting ready and sipping whiskey with his groomsmen.

The wedding morning bridal prep photos with gorgeous Holly were laid-back and in the loveliest of atmospheres. We captured candid photos of the beautiful bride and her infectious smile.

We adored Holly and Daniel’s ‘first touch,’ a modern wedding twist on the ‘first look,’ in which the bride and groom share a physical connection before the ceremony without seeing each other.

Reaching out, keeping their eyes closed, they held hands. The anticipation and excitement levels hit an all-time high! It was such a joy to capture this magical moment of tenderness.

Holly and Daniel chose a humanist wedding ceremony by Fiona Flanagan.

Their ceremony was fun, emotional, and personal. It included handfasting and a drink from the quaich, symbolising a marital relationship’s unity, blessing, and sanctity.

The weather was perfect for Holly and Daniel’s newlywed photoshoot. Melville Castle does not disappoint; there are many opportunities to capture breathtaking photography on its beautiful grounds.

The evening celebrations took place in the Viscount Room, where the newlyweds dined on a delicious wedding breakfast before partying the night away with ceilidh music and DJ.

We loved every minute of Holly and Daniel’s fantastic day and wish them every happiness and a wonderful future together.
