The big day will soon be here, and as your wedding videographer, we want to offer some info on how to personalise your wedding video.

Being your wedding videographer means we play a crucial role in documenting your special day, capturing the details that make it uniquely yours.

Let’s take it a step further and add your personal touch to make the edit truly yours!

We love to include as many personal touches as possible to ensure every edit is as unique as possible. We would appreciate it if you could provide the following information to us.

Choose Your Own Video Title

Choose from 20 fabulous titles to customise the opening chapter of your video. We can customise your title credits to include your name and wedding date (note that the date isn’t available on all title options).

See the options right here (best viewed on a large screen).

Choose Your Own Music

During the video editing process, we add music to the video. We only ever use music chosen by our couples, because only you can truly select music that you know and love.

Select songs that are special to you as a couple. Whether it’s the song you danced to on your first date or a track that perfectly captures your relationship with each other, the right music can enhance the emotional impact.

You may select any music you like, while keeping the following in mind.

  • Your choice of music will dictate the pace of the edit. The faster the tempo, the faster the pace of changes between each shot. A slow-paced ballad will have a more laid-back feel than an uptempo banger! However, don’t be afraid to use any song; we can make most songs fit the edit well.
  • If you have any songs played on the actual wedding day, for example, as you walk up the aisle or your first dance song, please supply these in addition to another eight songs that can be used in the rest of the edit.
  • It is unlikely that we will use all eight songs. We might use only part of a song, or some of the songs might not be used at all. The eight songs form a pool from which we can choose.
  • If possible, try to avoid including songs that are less than 3 minutes long.

Where We Use Your Music

We don’t usually add any music, and we rely on the ambient audio recorded by the cameras and microphones for the following parts of your video:

  • Ceremony
  • Speeches
  • Top table/couple announced for dinner
  • Dancing in the evening
  • Cake cutting

We do add your choice of music as a backing track over the following parts of the day (we may or may not film these parts of the day, depending on the package booked):

  • Drone footage
  • Pre-ceremony coverage, including bride and groom preparations, family and guest arrivals at the venue and venue ‘establishing shots’
  • Post-ceremony drinks reception including a confetti shot
  • Family group photo session
  • Newlywed photo session
  • Evening drinks reception
  • Shorter highlights edit of the day

How To Supply Your Song Choices

  • We ask that you select your eight favourite songs and provide them to us, preferably as high-quality MP3 files (320 kbps ideally), or via the TransferNow website.
  • Alternatively, find your songs on YouTube, copy the URL (the website address at the top of the webpage), and send us the eight links to your songs via email. We’ll take care of the rest.

How to Personalise Your Wedding Video: Final Notes

Please note that your video will be added to our editing schedule immediately after your wedding day; however, no video editing will commence until we receive your music choices and title selection.

If we receive your choices by the time your video is first in the editing queue, we will commence editing. Any delay may result in you losing your position in the editing queue.

The sooner we receive your choices, the sooner we can begin editing your video.
