I was honoured to be invited by Loren and Daniel to be their Gladsmuir Church wedding photographer.
Loren and Daniel were married in a Church of Scotland ceremony at the exquisite Gladsmuir Parish Church, East Lothian.
The celebrations were held in the wonderful Dalmahoy Hotel near Kirknewton, in West Lothian.
My photos, which tell the story of Loren and Daniel’s beautiful wedding day, are shared in the gallery below.

Gladsmuir Church Wedding Photos
Here are a few of my favourite photos created as Loren and Daniel’s Gladsmuir Church wedding photographer.
Engagement photos at Gosford Estate
A few weeks before Loren and Daniel’s big day arrived, we met for a pre-wedding photoshoot at Gosford Estate in East Lothian.
After a few minutes in this gorgeous couple’s company, I knew their wedding day photos would look special.

Bridal preparations
The day’s coverage began with photos of the Bridal Party preparations at Loren’s parents’ house in Tranent, East Lothian.
Everyone was relaxed, the atmosphere was lovely, the excitement was building, and everyone looked happy.

Marriage ceremony at Gladsmuir Parish Church
Gladsmuir Church is only a few minutes’ drive from Tranent.
I’d never been to this exquisite church previously, though I’ve driven past it many times.
Daniel and the boys arrived and were in good form.
Everyone was happy and having a laugh. There were no signs of nervousness at all, and it was a pleasure to photograph everyone.
Beautiful Bride Loren looked radiant as she emerged from her chauffeur-driven car.
There were a few photos of Loren, her dad, and the bridesmaids, and then Loren was escorted into the church by her father.
The marriage ceremony was lovely. The minister was brilliant and made everyone feel at ease.
We did a quick confetti shower outside the church, and then everyone made their way to Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club near Kirknewton in West Lothian.

Dalmahoy Hotel Wedding Reception Photos
The fair weather allowed the newlyweds and guests to enjoy a glass of champagne outside while we shot a few photos of them next to the golf course at Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club.
Shooting Dalmahoy Hotel wedding photos is an absolute joy for an experienced photographer.
Nestled on the outskirts of Edinburgh, this historic 18th-century manor exudes elegance and charm, making it a dream location for capturing timeless memories.
Its sprawling grounds, manicured gardens, tree-lined paths, and rolling green hills provide an idyllic backdrop that feels straight out of a romantic fairytale.
Whether a candid shot of the couple walking hand in hand through the grounds or a dramatic portrait framed by the grand stone facade, every corner of Dalmahoy offers photographic magic.
The interior is equally stunning.
The grand staircase, intricate details, and the luxurious suites filled with natural light provide endless opportunities for intimate, sophisticated shots.
For ceremonies, the venue’s mix of traditional and contemporary spaces caters beautifully to both grand celebrations and intimate gatherings.
What makes Dalmahoy truly special for a photographer is the sense of timelessness.
Combining Scottish heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and the couple’s excitement creates a magical atmosphere that shines through every frame.
From soft golden-hour portraits to joyous group shots on the estate’s picturesque grounds, Dalmahoy makes every photo feel extraordinary.
It’s the perfect setting to create stunning, heartfelt images that couples will treasure forever.

Loren and Daniel were a pleasure to photograph and looked so happy together.
I loved being their Gladsmuir Church wedding photographer.
