Beautiful bride Ashleigh and her handsome groom Matt were married at St. Margaret’s Chapel in Edinburgh Castle, Scotland’s top visitor attraction.
They then held their wedding reception nearby at Edinburgh’s luxury 5-star hotel, The Balmoral Hotel.

Bridal preparations at the Balmoral Hotel
My coverage of this fabulous day began with photographing the latter stages of beautiful bride Ashleigh and her girls’ preparations at The Balmoral Hotel.
The fizz was flowing, and the atmosphere was great. It was good fun to be there and to photograph the girls.
Wedding photos at Edinburgh Castle
Groom Matt is a Captain in the British Army, and where better to get married than one of the best-known British military garrisons, Edinburgh Castle?
A wonderful ceremony was held in St. Margaret’s Chapel, a tiny but exquisite chapel with approximately 22 people.
St Margaret’s Chapel is one of the oldest buildings in Edinburgh, and its history adds to its romance.
After the St. Margaret’s Chapel ceremony, it’s always great to observe the newlyweds being congratulated and cheered by the ever-present tourists visiting Edinburgh Castle daily.
Newlyweds Ashleigh and Matt must have felt like film stars being photographed by paparazzi!
Wedding reception at the Balmoral Hotel
What an exciting wedding day, ending at the Balmoral Hotel, only a few minutes from Edinburgh Castle.
One of Edinburgh’s five-star luxury hotels, The Balmoral, was the perfect setting for the wedding breakfast, speeches, and evening celebrations.
When we left the Balmoral Hotel, a live band played, ensuring the guests would be partying into the night.
