Dunglass Estate is pure magic for summer weddings, blending timeless charm with vibrant energy.
Nestled on Scotland’s picturesque East Lothian coastline, this enchanting venue offers couples a stunning mix of history, natural beauty, and unforgettable moments.
The centrepiece is the romantic 15th-century Gothic church, a breathtaking open-air structure where sunlight streams through its arches, creating an ethereal ceremony backdrop.
Summer at Dunglass bursts with life—lush greenery, blooming flowers, and golden light set the stage for an outdoor celebration.
The estate’s sprawling grounds, framed by woodlands and panoramic coastal views, provide endless opportunities for unique wedding photos.
From whimsical shots under ancient trees to golden-hour portraits against a sunset sky, every corner is a photographer’s dream.
The Pavilion reception space is equally magical, combining elegance and rustic charm.
With its clear sides, guests can soak up the beauty of the surrounding landscape while enjoying top-tier food and lively entertainment.
There’s room to dance, laugh, and celebrate, surrounded by the season’s joy.
Whether you’re capturing candid moments on the estate’s manicured lawns or dramatic couple shots by the sea, Dunglass Estate is a summer wedding paradise.
Its charm, history, and breathtaking scenery make it the perfect place to celebrate love and create memories that last a lifetime.
Photography coverage started with bride Kirsty and the girls in Seaview House, where hair and makeup stylists Jenny McLachlan and Phoebe Bolton were getting the girls glam-ready.
The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, perfect for capturing candid moments filled with laughter!
Joined by wonderful family and friends, Kirsty and Alex married in a religious ceremony officiated by Rev Dr Susan Brown.
Then, the baptism of their son, adorable little Archie. Such a joyous occasion to photograph!
The happy couple received a confetti shower and warm congratulations. Some group photos of our newlyweds with their family and friends were taken in front of Dunglass Church before guests walked to the Courtyard for the reception.
Fizz and delicious canapes by Ginger Snap Events were served to guests as they mingled under a perfect blue sky in the sun-soaked Courtyard.
Claire captured the merriment of the drinks reception while Jonathon took Kirsty and Alex on their newlywed photo shoot at several locations within Dunglass Estate’s lush gardens.
The Pavillion hosted a splendid evening of celebration. Guests enjoyed speeches that were funny and heartfelt in equal measure and a pleasure to photograph.
A delicious wedding breakfast was served. Afterwards, guests drank espresso martinis and gin brambles. They ate toasted marshmallows and teeny tiny chocolate brownies.
Fun and laughter filled the room. It was an absolute joy photographing all the love and magical moments.
The firepit was lit, the gorgeous outdoor festoon lighting gave the warmth of a hazy glow, and the brightest full moon felt like magic in the air.
We loved the precious moment the newlyweds took to the dancefloor for their first dance as husband and wife.
It was the perfect ending to a fabulous day shooting Dunglass Estate wedding photography.
