Apex Waterloo Place Hotel wedding photos
Some of our favourite photos tell the story of Kate and Dane’s Apex Waterloo Place Hotel wedding day.
Jonathon and I arrived at the hotel excitedly for the day ahead.
Dane, already looking smart and dressed in his kilt, greeted us. Dane seemed pretty chilled, and nerves seemed to be at bay.
Jonathon captured those perfect shots of Dane, his best man Tom, brother Shaun and brother-in-law-to-be Neil.
Dane’s nephew, Ollie, stole the show dressed in an adorable little kilt.
As wedding guests started to arrive, this special wedding day was underway.
Guests enjoyed a drink in the stylish Apex Waterloo Place Hotel bar before going to the Forth Room, where Kate and Dane were to be married.
Kate looked so beautiful. Her smile was radiant, and she glowed with beauty and happiness—a true natural beauty. Kate looked effortlessly stunning in her beautiful dress.
Jonathon created a few photos of Kate with her mum Alina and sister Emma, sister-in-law-to-be Naomi and beautiful Flower Girl Poppy before Kate made her way to the Forth Room.
Kate giggled through the ceremony, which was very funny and slightly infectious and made for some great shots!
Working alongside Humanist Celebrant Ken McMillan for the second time in a week was great, and his officiating skills are second to none!
Kate looked at Dane and Dane looked at Kate, they couldn’t take their eyes off each other as they exchanged their wedding vows and tied the knot.
Now officially husband and wife, Kate and Dane shared a romantic kiss as guests warmly cheered and applauded in celebration.
Celebratory drinks in the Calton Room followed.
The mobile casino was fun for the wedding guests as Jonathon whisked Kate and Dane away for some newlywed photos on Calton Hill.
We love this part of our job when couples are happy to go that extra mile to ensure we capture those stunning images they will cherish forever.
Calton Hill was the perfect place for newlywed photos of Kate and Dane, using the city’s skyline as the backdrop.
Back at the Waterloo Suite of the hotel, everyone clapped and cheered as Kate and Dane were welcomed to the top table.
Hilarious speeches followed and had everyone in giggles of laughter…especially the bit about when Motley Crue fan Dane bought his Mum a Motley Crue album for her birthday present!
Everyone enjoyed a delicious wedding breakfast.
Sitting amongst all the fun at a wedding, it was lovely to catch up with family, hear everyone’s news and celebrate the happy couple on such a joyous day.
All good things come to an end, and for us, the day ended with Kate and Dane cutting their wedding cake and photographing the first few dances.
Congratulations again to Kate and Dane; you were a joy to work with!
Love
Claire and Jonathon xx
