Eskmills Venue wedding photos
We’re delighted to share some of our favourite photos from Blythe and Dean’s Eskmills Venue Musselburgh wedding.
Pre-ceremony preparations
Claire’s morning started at Blythe and Dean’s flat, where the girls were getting ready.
Blythe was in high spirits, joined by her best bride squad, bridesmaids Jodie, Holly and Amber, and lovely Mum Heather.
They enjoyed a glass or two of Buck’s Fizz as hairstylist Ava Spence and makeup artist Kimberley Torley got them glam-ready!
Jonathon teamed up with groomsman Dean, who was getting ready nearby at his parents’ house.
With best man Scott by Dean’s side, the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed as Dean dressed in his full Highland kilt outfit from McCalls Highlandwear.
Arrivals at Eskmills
At Eskmills Venue Musselburgh, a leading wedding venue in East Lothian.
There was already a great atmosphere as guests gathered to enjoy a pre-ceremony drink at the bar.
A beautiful flower wall was the perfect backdrop for photographs of Blythe and Dean’s friends and family.
They were a lovely crowd, fun to be around, and capturing all the hilarity on camera was great!
Guests took to their seats as the wedding ceremony was about to begin.
The crowd roared with laughter as Louie, Blyth, and Dean’s gorgeous labrador, Lewy, made his entrance and joined Dean at the altar!
The bridesmaids arrived in style in an old classic VW camper van supplied by Ecosse Classic Cars.
Beautiful bride Blythe and her dad arrived in the perfect car on a sunny day like this – a VW Beetle convertible!
Humanist ceremony
Our bride walked down the aisle with her proud Dad to meet her husband-to-be.
Blythe looked sensational in her beautiful, slim-fitting Rosa Clara wedding dress, covered in exquisite crystal detailing.
Celebrant Fiona Scott led Blyth and Dean’s humanist wedding ceremony full of love, laughter, and tears.
And what a love story they have! Teenagers when they met and fell in love, Blythe and Dean had been together for nine years.
It was great catching the guest’s reactions, the room was bursting with love and happiness as they watched Blythe and Dean exchange wedding vows and ‘tie the knot’.
Drinks reception and photo session
After the wedding ceremony, our newlyweds were met with warm congratulations from their family and friends.
They enjoyed a celebratory glass of champagne and a few moments to catch their breath and mingle with their guests before going into formal group wedding photos.
Jonathon took the happy couple outside for their newlywed photoshoot.
Claire stayed with the wedding guests, catching candid photos of all the fun of the drinks reception.
Speeches
Blythe’s Dad kicked off the wedding speeches with kind words, thanking everyone for coming to celebrate such a special day.
Dean gave a lovely, heartfelt speech, and his best man got everybody laughing!
There was a great atmosphere as everyone relaxed and enjoyed a sumptuous wedding breakfast by in-house caterers Hickory.
Evening party
The evening celebrations started with our happy couple cutting their fabulous wedding cake, designed by Caroline Jax Cakes.
We loved the cake topper, which featured our bride and groom and their adorable dog, Lewy!
Our newlyweds’ first dance song was “I Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Elvis Presley, performed by the fantastic live band The Klones.
The next song started, ” The Proclaimers – Let’s Get Married, ” and the place went wild! Blythe and Dean were in the middle as their guests circled them.
Guests belted the song, then went crazy as Dean lifted his wife in the air!
What a fantastic way to end a perfect Eskmills Venue wedding!
