Wedding Photographer At Dundas Castle Photos Slideshow Edited To Music

newlyweds holding hands smiling as they stroll along the driveway

I recently had the pleasure of being wedding photographer at Dundas Castle for Zara and Sam. Zara and Sam were married at the exclusive Dundas Castle wedding venue, situated near South Queensferry, Scotland. It was wonderful to be back photographing at such an exquisite wedding venue.

Dundas Castle is the perfect romantic and picturesque wedding venue. Complete with everything you would expect a castle to have, from its fairytale tower with winding staircase, the “Auld Keep”, to the elegant chandelier-lit Croquet room, Dundas Castle is a perfect place for an intimate wedding day.

The day began with me photographing the preparations of the Bridal Party and the Groom and his ushers. Everyone was friendly and relaxed. I knew this was going to be a fantastic day!

The wedding ceremony took place in the oldest part of the estate, The Auld Keep.

The Auld Keep is where the chapel is located and the chapel is accessed via an old winding stone staircase. Piper Roddy Deans piped Zara up the stairs and into the chapel.

After a wonderfully romantic ceremony, the newlyweds and I headed up onto the roof of the building to take a few photos. The guests headed downstairs for a glass of champagne. After the tail end of a hurricane earlier in the week, it was incredible to have such beautiful sunny weather. We couldn’t have had a nicer day!

We spent about 45 minutes creating photos on the grounds of the castle. A small number of traditional group photos were taken to ensure all present were photographed. Then back into the castle for the cutting of the delicious wedding cake.

The newlyweds cut the cake with a massive antique sword. Very cool, and great for all the guest to watch.

Piper Roddy then piped the newlyweds into the Croquet Room where the formal speeches took place before the wedding breakfast. Enjoyable to listen to and photograph. I’ve got some great photos of everyone having a good time listening to various anecdotes.

After the speeches, Piper Roddy then performed ‘Address to a Haggis’. The address was both funny and frightening in equal measures. Great entertainment and well worth consideration for any wedding. The Guests loved it!

My day finished with me photographing the first few dances. After the solo first dance, the newlyweds were joined by their guests for the start of the ceilidh. Great fun to watch and photograph, I left Dundas Castle having had the most fantastic day shooting photos!

The albums are incredible, we absolutely love the photographs. The quality of both the images and the albums is fantastic, we couldn't be happier!

Thank you so much for your help and support in the run-up to our wedding day, as well as your true professionalism on the day and post-wedding. As you know I was very nervous about hiring a photographer for our wedding but you have been brilliant throughout and we have already been singing your praises to friends etc.

I hope you have a successful year with your business, hope we can keep in touch.
