I’ve previously photographed a wedding at The Glasshouse, and the weather on that occasion was really sunny, so the ceremony and photo shoot took place outside on the roof garden. Unfortunately for Jo and Al’s wedding day we had torrential rain. No worries, the interior of The Glasshouse has a wonderfully intimate and modern feel which was wonderful for photos.
Jo and Al were married in a wonderfully personal Humanist wedding ceremony. I loved the story of how Jo and Al met and had decided to get married in Scotland. A really relaxed ceremony which was a pleasure to photograph.
I love the bar area with the open-flame fire, a great place to sit and enjoy a dram or two. Also a relaxing place for a few newly-wed photos! I also loved the staircase and upper landing area. The window seen in some of the photos is part of the original fascia of the building, which was retained and integrated with the glass and steel modern building making up the rest of the hotel.
